The Importance of Curb Appeal

I did it in the rain, with a baby monitor in a plastic bag clipped to my shorts, between three failed attempts at a nap but by God I planted a flower garden.

Before:

After:

And these two lazy bums didn't do a thing:

Note: After three nap attempts I brought the baby outside in his bouncy. I know you're thinking, "but I thought you said it was raining." Under that big tree he barely got wet. But still I see your point. "A baby in the rain" just sounds bad.

That is great!
I understand this post very well-- I hang up the outside Christmas lights with the monitor on the ladder step. Most people see pretty lights at night, but when I look at them I see 15 strings hung in a 1-hour naptime sense of accomplishment!

The flower garden looks beautiful - and did you know the Swedes take their babies outside for naps all the time...in all kinds of weather. You are just very Ameripean...as I like to call it. Xo

I think your garden is magnificent and so amazing to get it done w/ a baby!!! You are one amazing "mama". I love you and the boys in your family too!
